STEP 1

ENQUIRY
Simply drop me a line and let me know a few basic details. The most important thing is the DATE you require your cake so I can check my availability. Follow this with brief description of the kind of cake you would like. (At this stage, don’t worry if you don’t have a firm idea). If you want to send me reference images you can email me attachments. You can also let me know if you have a minimum number of portions required so I know what size cake you will need.

STEP 2

FOLLOW UP
I will get back to you with my availability, and if I can take on the cake, I will give you an approximate cost. If you choose to pursue the enquiry based on this, we go onto flavour(s), personalisation and discuss the design in more detail. I will often ask questions about who the cake is for so I can make it as special and personal as possible.

STEP 3

FULL QUOTE & SKETCH
If the ballpark cost is within your budget I then create a design and issue a full, accurate quote. This is emailed to you as a PDF and contains a full description of your cake and rough sketch of the design for you to approve in principle.

STEP 4

ORDER APPROVAL & DEPOSIT
If you are happy with the design and cost, a 25% deposit payment is due to secure the order. (Orders with less than 14 days’ notice require full payment upfront.) Once received, I issue an Order Confirmation. Alternatively, if you have any comments or changes regarding the design I will amend and, if necessary, issue a revised quote.

STEP 5

BALANCE PAYMENT & CAKE DESPATCH
The balance payment is due 7 days prior to the cake despatch date. We agree on a mutually convenient time for collection or delivery and the cake is despatched accordingly.
